Job description
We’re looking for a QA Manager (Manual & Automation) to join our core team and lead quality assurance initiatives across multiple projects. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will mentor a growing QA team, define quality strategies, and drive continuous improvement across both manual and automated testing practices.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams — Project Manager, Developers, DevOps, and stakeholders—to ensure end-to-end product quality and timely delivery.
Your responsibilities:
Team Leadership & QA Strategy
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of manual and automation QA engineers.
- Allocate resources across projects and monitor QA timelines, workloads, and performance.
- Set up goals, performance review criteria, and career development plans for the QA team.
- Collaborate with PMs and stakeholders to define testing scope and release strategies.
Test Management & Automation
- Establish and maintain a robust QA process that includes both manual and automated test strategies.
- Review and validate test cases, test plans, and test reports to ensure high coverage and effectiveness.
- Design and develop automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
- Automate UI, API, and regression test suites; integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Supervise the execution of functional, non-functional, integration, performance, and load testing.
Quality Governance & Best Practices
- Own and drive QA best practices, standards, documentation, and metrics.
- Analyze defects and quality trends to propose preventive measures and improve test efficiency.
- Manage risk assessments and propose mitigation plans during releases.
- Ensure QA involvement throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Your Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2+ years in a QA lead or manager role.
- Proven experience in leading QA teams, especially across complex or enterprise-level projects.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and release management processes.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Experience in API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
- Knowledge of performance testing (e.g., JMeter) and security testing is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and cultures.
- Experience with bug-tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
- Good English communication is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is preferred.
