As part of the Vietnam ICTCOMM 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Logistics and Port Association (HLA), in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Consulting and Support Center (DXCenter), organized the seminar titled “Digital transformation and information security for the logistics industry” at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Phan Phuong Tung, Director of DXCenter, delivering the opening remarks at the seminar
The seminar served as a forum connecting technology experts, logistics enterprises, and digital solution providers to discuss emerging trends in digital transformation, information security, and the application of artificial intelligence in the logistics industry. It also helped raise awareness of the increasing cybersecurity threats across digital supply chains, contributing to efforts to build a modern, secure, and highly resilient logistics infrastructure.

Overview of the seminar
According to statistics and reports from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam’s logistics costs currently account for approximately 16–17% of GDP, significantly higher than the global average of around 10–12%. Within ASEAN, Vietnam’s logistics costs remain relatively high, compared to 8.5% in Singapore, 13% in Malaysia, and 15.5% in Thailand. At the same time, Vietnam is among the fastest-growing logistics markets in the region, with an estimated market size of tens of billions of U.S. dollars annually and an average growth rate of 14–16% per year. These figures highlight the significant potential of the logistics industry to enhance operational efficiency through technological innovation and optimized operations.
