Quang Trung Software City, VNITO Alliance, Fukuoka City of Japan, and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) jointly held a conference to promote trades into Fukuoka City in 2019.

This conference introduced the investment environment/wastewater in the city and the methods to form an information technology (IT) company in both Vietnam and Japan.

Representatives of Fukuoka presented a series of investment advantages, a detailed investment procedure for foreign businesses, and a process to apply for a business visa in Japan for those interested in becoming a representative of a Japanese company. These pieces of information are highly appreciated by Vietnamese businesses.

Fukuoka attracts a large sum of investment capital thanks to its low overhead cost (at only 60 percent of that in Tokyo regarding office renting fee), low risk of disasters, a rich source of human resources, and a large quantity of international students, including Vietnamese ones.

The delegates from Fukuoka also took part in a Business Matching session with more than 30 meetings as well as direct discussions with Vietnamese IT companies which are interested in the Japanese market. This is a wonderful chance for domestic enterprises in the fields of software development, website development, mobile application, IT services, graphic design, software testing, software system, and information security to seek trading opportunities and expansion.
