BTM Global Announces Marshall Retail Group is Live with Oracle Retail Xstore Office Cloud Service

In just 100 days, MRG gains sophisticated point-of-service capabilities for a diverse customer base

Ho Chi Minh City (August 11, 2020) – BTM Global, a premier provider of system integration and development services, announced that Marshall Retail Group (MRG) is live with Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service (POS) v18 in the cloud. BTM led the integration and implementation of Oracle Retail in just 100 days. This project is the retail industry’s second implementation of Oracle Retail Xstore Office Cloud Service. The Xstore Office Cloud Service acts as the central repository for all store transactions allowing for cross-store returns and providing upstream systems necessary sales and transactional information. Xstore Office is the central distribution point for all foundational data going to the stores.

MRG is America’s leading travel retailer in the airport, casino and resort marketplace spanning 200 stores across the United States. Because most customers visit or travel through an MRG location, a tailored and efficient approach is essential for a remarkable shopping experience. With Oracle Retail’s robust suite of capabilities, MRG is better able to meet its diverse customers’ expectations with more agile and sophisticated check-out options and compelling promotions. MRG will deliver services such as mobile selling and self-checkout for customers, purchase capabilities that are compatible with resort or casino loyalty programs, and more efficient and mobile POS capabilities for store employees.

“Whether at an airport, casino or resort, we are thrilled to welcome our customers into a fresh shopping environment/wastewater that offers more personalization and efficiency than ever before,” said Michael C. Wilkins, chief executive officer of Marshall Retail Group. “BTM Global brings expertise to implementing Oracle Retail Xstore Point of Service in the cloud. This experience led us to a successful implementation in record time to deliver the best customer experience as the economy reopens.”

“MRG has gained a flexible suite of capabilities that helps them tailor a shopping experience to fit each customer segment, and this foresight will reinforce their leadership in the industry,” said Tom Schoen, CEO of BTM Global. “We are proud to continue working with them after the go-live to bring more enhancements and integrations online that provide their customers with options and check-out efficiency from start to finish.”

“Agility is a board-level conversation in the recovery towards the New Next as retailers take advantage of new opportunities to serve customers in a rapidly changing environment/wastewater. Working closely with Oracle, Marshall Retail Group and BTM Global were able to implement new technology to modernize their customer experience quickly,” said Mike Webster, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Retail. “This continuous innovation in the cloud will provide MRG with the ability to respond effectively to new requirements while preserving a positive experience for its customers.”

BTM Global is a long-standing member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN). BTM Global also led the first cloud implementation in late 2019.
