Delegation from the Institute of Vietnam and World Economy visited QTSC

On the afternoon of May 20, 2026, a delegation from the Institute of Vietnam and World Economy paid a working visit to QTSC to explore its development orientations and current activities in high-tech research and development, particularly in digital technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, and cybersecurity.

The delegation was led by Dr. Ha Huy Ngoc, Director of the Strategy and Policy Center, the Institute of Vietnam and World Economy. Welcoming the delegation were Ms. Pham Thi Kim Phuong, Deputy CEO of QTSC, along with representatives from relevant departments and centers.

The Institute of Vietnam and World Economy, under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, is currently working with the Quang Ninh Department of Science and Technology on a project titled “Research on developing priority orientations and identifying science, technology, and innovation tasks in Quang Ninh Province through 2030.” As part of the project, the delegation visited QTSC to exchange experiences in science and technology management, research application and technology transfer, as well as the development of priority orientations for science, technology, and innovation.

During the working session, QTSC representatives presented an overview of QTSC’s development journey, its orientation toward building a digital technology and innovation ecosystem, and the research and development cooperation models currently being implemented. The delegation was also introduced to QTSC’s innovation ecosystem, which includes organizations such as SoiHub, The Sentry, and TMA Innovation, contributing to the city’s broader innovation and digital technology ecosystem. In addition, both sides discussed the orientation for developing a digital talent ecosystem, digital infrastructure development strategies, and solutions supporting digital transformation for government agencies, enterprises, and localities.

The two sides also discussed challenges facing technology research and development, particularly in developing high-skilled talent, investing in technology infrastructure, promoting collaboration among enterprises, research institutes, universities, and government agencies, and increasing the practical application of research results.

In addition, QTSC shared insights gained from its experience in implementing digital transformation, developing technology infrastructure, data centers, cloud computing, and cybersecurity solutions. QTSC also suggested several directions to further promote scientific research, innovation, and the development of digital technology ecosystems in localities.

As part of the program, the delegation visited TMA Innovation, where they gained practical insights into how enterprises conduct technology research, development, and application.

Concluding the program, the delegation highly valued QTSC’s approach to building digital technology, innovation ecosystem and implementing solutions that support digital transformation. As one of Vietnam’s leading concentrated digital technology parks, QTSC serves not only as a hub for technology enterprises, research centers, and digital workforce development, but also as a destination for localities and organizations to exchange experiences in developing strategies for science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
