On July 15, 2025, over 300 guests—including business leaders, technology experts, and representatives from various organizations—attended the Ho Chi Minh City Artificial Intelligence Conference 2025, themed “Unlocking the power of AI and Big data – The key to sustainable development.” The event was co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC), Quang Trung Software City Development Company Limited (QTSC), the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Consulting and Support Center (DXCenter), and the BambuUP Innovation Connection Platform.
The conference took place amid the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) as a strategic driver of global digital transformation. In Vietnam, while many tech companies have developed cross-sector AI solutions, the practical adoption of these innovations among traditional enterprises and SMEs remains limited—hindered by a lack of implementation roadmaps, market data, and internal capabilities.
The conference program was divided into two main sessions: the morning session focused on applying AI and big data to drive digital and green transformation in industrial zones, while the afternoon session featured an in-depth forum where experts discussed industry-specific data, cybersecurity, and real-world AI application models.
During the morning session, ITPC officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with its partners, paving the way for upcoming training programs targeted at businesses. These partnerships aim to strengthen management capacity and support the transition toward green, sustainable, and digital business operations.

Speaking at the afternoon session, Ms. Pham Thi Kim Phuong – Deputy CEO of QTSC, emphasized: “2025 marks a pivotal year for rolling out a series of key policies on technology, data, and high-tech investment. It presents a golden window to accelerate AI integration into the digital transformation process—not only across businesses but also within public service systems. Achieving this requires a multi-faceted approach: from building robust data platforms and advancing core technologies, to developing modern infrastructure that supports research, innovation, and AI-driven applications.”

Cyber-security also drew significant attention. According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, Head of QTSC’s Cyber Security Center, AI models rely heavily on big data, which often contains sensitive information. This makes it essential to raise awareness about data protection and to strengthen system security.
