Homa product launching ceremony

Press Release

(Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – JULY 11, 2019) – Homa Techs Inc., a provider of Internet of Things (IoT) networking and smart home/building devices powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) on-the-edge technology, has announced today the launch of new family of Multi-Protocol IoT Hubs to address the need of not only gigabit networking but also a new experience of “understanding” for home and building applications.

Recently, “wellness living” concept has rapidly been adopted as a new trend for everyone who wishes to live a comfort, enjoyable and healthy life without compromising their safety and security at an affordable cost. This trend of wellness living creates the need to put a large amount of connected devices into a household, from high-rate data streaming applications in laptop, cellphones, Full-HD/4K TV, and surveillance IP cameras to low-rate data sensors, controllers and actuators; which eventually translates into a new benchmark for home/building networking capacity, reliability, latency and coverage. To unlock the challenge, Homa Techs’ new family of Multi-Function IoT Hubs are designed to operate simultaneously as

  • Powerful WiFi Routers featuring industry latest 6th generation of WiFi standard (WiFi 6, 802.11ax) to other legacy versions of WiFi 5 (802.11ac) and WiFi 4 (802.11n).
  • Multi-Protocol Smart Hubs which work seamlessly with IoT devices using popular networking protocols available in the market such as WiFi, Zigbee, Z-wave, Bluetooth BLE, G.hn PLC (Power Line Communication), Gigabit Ethernet, KNX and Modbus in an easy-to-use propriety software system and apps.
  • AI on-the-edge machine running Homa Techs’ Low Resource AI algorithms for computer vision, voice recognition, signal processing and others propriety

In this family of devices, Helius (Tri-band WiFi, 12-stream, AX6000) is suitable for building or high-end real estate development projects, while Neptune (Tri-band WiFi, 8-stream, AC3000) and Intelli (Dual-band WiFi, 4-stream, AC1200) target budget-friendly detached houses, apartments, and offices. All these Multi-Function IoT Hubs can connect to each other to form a Mesh Network to extend coverage using Homa Techs’ propriety backhaul technology which combines both WiFi and G.hn PLC links. This technology empowers Homa Techs’ to be ideal solution for the technically challenging South East Asia market, where electrical and construction infrastructures are less friendly for IoT products to work well. It ensures WiFi (and other wireless signals) to reach out every corner of the home, and at the same time to provide high-speed Internet out of every existing power outlets for flexible installation and usage.

“Our One Hub – One App – One Brain solution aims to build a wellness, smart and efficient living environment/wastewater for our customers who deserve to enjoy their happy life without any compromise imposed by technological limits. We commit to work closely with our strategic technology partner, Qualcomm Technologies Inc., to build innovative products based on their advance chipsets for networking and AI on-the-edge computing,” said Dr. Son Vo, Director of Embedded Systems for Homa Techs.

At the event, Homa Techs will announce that FPT will be a strategic investor. With its technology capability and worldwide business network, FPT will work with Homa in product and business development, with the initial focus on the South East Asia market.
