Institute for European and Americas Studies visits QTSC for national innovation research

On the morning of 1 July 2026, QTSC welcomed a delegation from the Institute for European and Americas Studies (IEAS) for a working visit to gather information, research materials, and practical insights in support of the national research project titled “A comparative study of best practices in national innovation system development in selected European Union transition economies and their implications for Vietnam.”

The delegation was led by Dr. Hoa Huu Cuong, Deputy Director of the EU Center. Representing QTSC were Ms. Pham Thi Kim Phuong, Deputy CEO of QTSC, together with leaders of the company's functional departments and specialized centers.

The program opened with an overview of QTSC's development journey, highlighting its role in promoting science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, along with its strategic priorities for the years ahead. The delegation was also introduced to QTSC's operating model, digital technology ecosystem, technology infrastructure, and a range of enterprise support programs designed to foster business growth and innovation.

During the in-depth discussion session, both sides exchanged views on QTSC's role in advancing digital infrastructure, the software industry, digital technology services, and digital transformation, while fostering collaboration among technology enterprises. The discussion also highlighted QTSC's contributions to Ho Chi Minh City's innovation ecosystem.

The research team expressed particular interest in several practical issues, including lessons learned from QTSC's development journey and the effective application of the City's policies; challenges faced by technology enterprises in advancing core technologies; mechanisms for data integration and sharing to support statistical reporting and assess the effectiveness of business and startup support programs; and initiatives that foster collaboration among government, academia, and industry in strengthening the innovation ecosystem.

The delegation highly appreciated the practical insights shared by QTSC and noted that the findings from the visit would provide valuable input for the research. Upon completion of the study, the research team will share its findings with QTSC and consider incorporating recommendations arising from QTSC's experience into its policy recommendations.

The working session further reaffirmed QTSC's role not only as a hub for digital technology enterprises but also as a prominent model for fostering innovation, driving digital transformation, and bringing together key resources within the innovation ecosystem. Through sharing practical experience and working closely with research institutions, government agencies, academia, and the business community, QTSC continues to serve as a bridge connecting enterprises, policymakers, researchers, and domestic and international partners, contributing to the advancement of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam.
