To register for the World Summit Awards (WSA) 2019
Being initiated in 2003 in the framework of the UN World Summit on the Information Society (UN WSIS), World Summit Awards (WSA) is a highly diverse and democratic award system that selects and promotes the world’s best digital innovation with impact on society as well as encouraging young innovators. WSA works with a daily growing network of thought leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, government and business representatives and young founders. To date more than 182 countries are actively involved, making the World Summit Awards are a GLOBAL HUB for everyone who values the crucial importance of local content to make today’s information society more inclusive.
The WSA 2019 has officially opened in the same 8 categories. Submissions for the WSA can contain mobile applications, SMS based products, webpages, databases, kiosk installations, wearables, IoT etc. There is no limitation regarding the platforms or channels the projects work with. WSA is strictly restricted to digital applications with a strong impact on society. This year, WSA also promotes and awards young innovators under the age of 26, who offer digital solutions to any of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Nominated by WSA Council since 2016, Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long, CEO of Quang Trung Software City (QTSC), has become Vietnam National Expert, who officially nominate the best applications/ products from Vietnam to WSA annually. After the applications/products have been nominated, a jury of eminent experts will evaluate all the submissions. They will choose the best products to attend WSA Global Congress, organized in Quarter 01/2020.
