On the morning of July 21, 2026, QTSC, in collaboration with the Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore, co-organized the Vietnam–Singapore Semiconductor Industry Cooperation Forum 2026 at QTSC Building 1, QTSC, Ho Chi Minh City.

The forum took place at a time when the semiconductor industry is emerging as the foundation of the global digital economy and a key enabler of strategic technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, data centers, 5G/6G networks, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

For Vietnam, the 2026–2030 period is regarded as a pivotal phase in transitioning from participating in the semiconductor supply chain to gradually building a comprehensive semiconductor ecosystem. Vietnam has already attracted major international semiconductor companies such as Marvell, Renesas, Infineon, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, and Hana Micron, along with numerous enterprises specializing in IC design, chip packaging, and testing. According to the Semiconductors Market in Vietnam 2026–2030 report by Research and Markets, Vietnam's semiconductor market is projected to grow by USD 2.22 billion during the 2025–2030 period, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 7.1%.

As a national hub for innovation and high technology, Ho Chi Minh City possesses strong advantages for developing the semiconductor industry, with a well-established ecosystem of technology enterprises, high-tech parks, universities, research institutes, and innovation centers. The Forum was organized to foster collaboration in policy, investment, technology transfer, and talent development, while expanding Vietnam's participation in the global semiconductor value chain. It also brought together representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, universities, research institutes, domestic technology enterprises, a delegation of Singaporean semiconductor companies, investment funds, and international trade promotion organizations.

Presentations delivered by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, the Ho Chi Minh City Industrial Revolution 4.0 Center (HCMC C4IR), the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA), Ultrasil LLC (USA), and the Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Human Resource Development Alliance (SEVINA) focused on Vietnam's semiconductor development strategy, semiconductor trends in Asia, opportunities to participate in the global value chain, the development of Vietnam's wafer supply chain, and collaboration in developing high-quality talent.

The highlight of the forum was the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between QTSC and the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA). The agreement marks a strategic milestone in connecting Vietnam's semiconductor ecosystem with the network of leading semiconductor enterprises in Singapore and across the region.

Under the MoU, QTSC and SSIA will collaborate to promote business networking, investment promotion, research and development (R&D), technology transfer, talent development, and international cooperation in the semiconductor industry. Direct collaboration with SSIA—an organization representing one of the region's leading semiconductor ecosystems—will enable Vietnamese enterprises to access international partner networks, industry development expertise, and global supply chains.

The forum also witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement among SSIA, the Semiconductor Education Alliance Vietnam (SEVINA), and FPT Polytechnic College to strengthen collaboration in education and training, and to develop engineers and experts to meet the growing demand of the semiconductor industry in the years ahead.

Speaking at the forum, Mr. Tran Huu Dung, CEO of QTSC, stated that QTSC aims to develop the park into a preferred destination for high-tech and semiconductor enterprises, while serving as a hub connecting businesses, research institutes, universities, and international partners. Building on 25 years of experience in developing a technology ecosystem, advancing digital transformation, and fostering innovation, QTSC is steadily expanding into strategic technology sectors, with the semiconductor industry identified as one of its key priorities.

Through the forum, QTSC aspires to become a gateway connecting global semiconductor enterprises with the Vietnamese and broader Asian markets, contributing to the establishment of Ho Chi Minh City's semiconductor ecosystem, strengthening innovation capacity, developing high-quality talent, and promoting Vietnam's deeper integration into the global semiconductor value chain.
