QTSC welcomed Ministry of Information and Communications and 24 Departments of Information and Communications in Southern area

In the afternoon of July 9th 2019, representatives of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and directors of Departments of Information and Communications (DIC) of 24 southern provinces visited Quang Trung Software City (QTSC).

Leading the delegation, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Director General of Organization and Personnel Department, MIC said that the Ministry has been organizing a training course on state management specialized in IT and communication for directors of DICs throughout the country with the purpose for improving professional knowledge and skills. In particular, visiting QTSC was a working session of the practical research program on IT and concentrated industrial zone management.

Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long - CEO of QTSC warmly welcomed the directors of the Southern DICs to visit QTSC and gave an overview of the management and operation model of QTSC, QTSC Chain, QTSC Chain Management Council, etc.

Besides, Ms. Nhieu Quoc Tran - Lead of Technological Solution Section, QTSC introduced the smart city model and showed a demo of QTSC Integrated Operation Center (QTSC IOC).

The directors were very interested in AI application for VMS system at QTSC. Accordingly, the system monitors security in the entire area of ​​43 hectares, in addition to the normal monitoring function, VMS provides intelligent features including license plate recognition, face recognition, human recognition, counting people, crowds recognition. Along with that is the warning features such as warning of suspects in blacklist, warning when suspects climb in, warning when crowds gather, and alert when someone appears in the restricted area, etc. With many more smart features, QTSC is able to implement technology applications in multiple environment/wastewaters such as applying license plate recognition in parking lots instead of magnetic cards, recognizing objects that are violating traffic (speeding, traffic lane, wrong direction, without helmet, etc.).

Then, the delegation visited QTSC R&D Labs and listened to the introduction of new technology applications being researched, tested and applied in reality by startups in the Agriculture Center of Excellence at lot 13, QTSC.

At the end of the program, the delegation visited Telecom Center of QTSC, and was shared about the functions, tasks and technological solutions being applied here and data center of Ho Chi Minh City. HCMC data center is now a place to store and provide data of HCM People's Committee, departments and agencies, as well as serve public services from the city government to the people, information exchange and operating management of the city government, and help the shared applications work stably, safely in a cyber security environment/wastewater.
