Quang Trung Software City Chain to review 2019 First Quarter Activities

On March 21, Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) Chain Management Council held a periodical meeting to summarize the results in the first quarter of 2019 as well as plan the activities for the second quarter.

Attending the meeting were QTSC Chain Management Council including Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long, Standing Member of the Council; representative of Information Technology Park – VNU HCMC (ITP), HCMC Department of Information and Communications, and representatives from Thua Thien Hue IT Center (HueCIT), VNPT Tien Giang - management board of Mekong Information Technology Park in Tien Giang (Mekong ITP), and International University – VNU HCMC.

On behalf of the Council, Mr. Long opened the meeting with a brief introduction of meeting agenda, Chain’s current members and the units has been applying for membership to the Chain.

Continuing the meeting, the Chain members summarized their activities in the first quarter of 2019 and shared the tentative plans in the second quarter of 2019. Accordingly, VNU-ITP has oriented its role in the Chain as "Startup Ecosystem in the University", and proposed that QTSC chain should build up a brand identity system with the aim of gathering all members to improve the role and power of the Chain.

Representatives of units who have been promoting the profiles to join the Chain affirmed that participation in the Chain was very important, as well as determined their own strength and operational model when being Chain’s members: Mekong ITP as "IT Application in Agriculture and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO)", HueCIT as "IT Application in Culture - Tourism".

In addition, Mekong ITP and HueCIT also raised their difficulties and desired that two current members VNU-ITP and QTSC could guide and share experiences in operating activities in order for them to manage better.

At the end of the meeting, the Council concluded many activities for QTSC Chain in the coming time, such as organizing the quarterly meetings, which would be held alternately by members to get more opportunities to share and connect together; organizing communication activities to promote the image of the businesses, members, especially the image of the whole Chain as a strong IT business community; and some other key tasks.
