In the morning of 27 June 2019, students from Faculty of International Relations and Communications, University of Economics and Finance visited and learned about the smart city model in Quang Trung Software City (QTSC).

Attending the visit, students listened to QTSC representative to introduce an overview of Quang Trung Software City, including its scale, tasks and functions, as well as some successful businesses operating here. In addition, they were shared about the smart city model and Quang Trung Software City Integrated Operation Center (QTSC IOC).

Visiting QTSC R&D Labs, students were very surprised to know the technologies being researched and applied in real life by experts from Vietnam 5D Company such as: use plasma rays to kill bacteria in the water; use drones and specialized software to check the quality of soil, water and habitat for plants; automatic planting robots; smart vegetable cabinet in house and fast-drying technology of fruits, vegetables, etc. Following that, the students were very excited and asked a lot of questions for engineers as a real interview, such as: research process to produce new products, price of finished products, how can integrate more new technologies or how to communicate new products, and so on.

Finally, students moved and visited QTSC’s Agriculture Center of Excellence, where growing hydroponic plants with automatic plant watering technology, melon in membrane houses, vegetables in containers by led lighting system, and mushrooms by the spraying technology with antisepsis by plasma ray.
