In the afternoon of 24 October 2018, Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) warmly welcomed the delegation of United States Agency for International Development (USAID), led by Mr. Jeremiah Carew, Director of Program Development Office, USAID Vietnam.
Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long, CEO of QTSC and other members. After USAID’s brief introduction about its activity model and supporting policies, QTSC had a presentation on the establishment and development process, advantages and potential incentives for enterprises operating in the park.
At the meeting, both of USAID and QTSC raised a lot of issues to discuss such as: the operating model and development orientation of QTSC; how QTSC should accompany and support startups, especially the incentive policies for members at QTSC R&D Labs; training environment/wastewater and the interaction between businesses and schools aiming to meet the high quality IT human resources; QTSC chain and its development orientation in the coming time, etc.

USAID worked at QTSC
Throughout the meeting with QTSC, USAID desired to be able to partly assess the development and status of the Science, Technology, Innovation and Partnership (STIP) in Vietnam as well as seek potential cooperation opportunities in the near future.
At the end of the meeting, the USAID delegation were very interested and excited about the QTSC Integrated Operation Center (IOC), which is being applied to manage and monitor the park with the goal to improve service quality and support customers better.
